What it solves

Car owners rarely remember when the oil was last changed or how much the year cost them: the records scatter across notebooks, receipts and memory. The app keeps a full service and expense history and shows the whole cost picture.

Architecture

A React Native (Expo) mobile app with file-based routing. Data lives in cloud PostgreSQL behind a typed Drizzle ORM access layer, request caching and syncing run on TanStack Query, and on-device storage keeps the app usable offline.

VacFinder — job search and screening

Why

Remove the daily manual sweep across job boards and the reading of irrelevant postings, leaving only the meaningful choice.

What it solves

Job hunting means crawling a dozen and a half sources, untangling duplicates and judging fit — which takes longer than the search itself. The system collects postings overnight, scores them against my profile and sends a morning digest containing only those above the bar.

Architecture

A pipeline of independent stages: collection from 14 sources (sites, a public channel, email) → normalisation and deduplication → scoring agent → cover-letter agent → digest. Storage is a spreadsheet that stays open to manual annotation. Different models are used deliberately: bulk scoring and one-off letters differ in both cost and required quality. Postings near the cut-off are scored twice, with a third deciding run on disagreement — measurements showed a spread of up to 33 points on the very same posting.

IT classes in Moscow schools

Why

Bring the university approach to hands-on engineering projects into the school curriculum — at the scale of an entire city.

What it solves

A joint programme between the Moscow Department of Education and Science and ITMO University: pre-professional IT classes in city schools. I ran the additive manufacturing and 3D modelling track end to end — curriculum, teaching methods and teacher training.

A track inside a multi-disciplinary programme: its own teaching module, equipment requirements for school workshops, teaching materials, and training so that teachers can then run the course themselves.

A telepresence robot bridging VR and AR

Why

Test whether a mobile robot can be driven by natural head movements rather than a joystick.

What it solves

A remote robot operator fights two enemies: a narrow communication channel and signal delay, which together destroy both the sense of presence and control precision. Here the operator wears a VR headset showing the robot’s stereo camera feed with an augmented reality layer on top, and the robot mirrors their head turns.

A mobile platform carrying a stereo camera and on-board compute, an augmented reality layer over the video stream, and transmission to a VR headset with a head-movement tracking algorithm. The results were published at an international conference on methods and models in automation and robotics.

Why

Turn an abstract number from social media into a physical object that everyone entering the building can see.

What it solves

A university’s online activity lives inside analytics dashboards and moves nobody. A display in the main building’s lobby shows the follower count of the university’s official page, and a thumbs-up icon lights up with every new like — the number becomes an event happening in front of you.

Architecture

The stand was designed and built at ITMO University’s FabLab. An application polls the social network API and pushes the value to a digital display, while a separate indicator fires on each new like under the community’s posts.

Home server and Telegram bots

Why

Cover everyday personal chores with my own services instead of a pile of subscriptions and scattered apps.

What it solves

Routine spreads across apps: tasks, shopping, notes, keeping an eye on events. A set of bots pulls it all into one messenger — tasks go to a tracker, voice messages become transcribed notes, and a separate service watches for tickets to specific performances and sends a weekly technology digest.

Architecture

A single-board server where each bot is its own auto-restarting service, with scheduled periodic jobs and one shared alert channel. The system watches itself: once a day it assembles a status report written up by a language model, while failures arrive as separate urgent messages.
